Friend Scott Coats<\/a>\u00a0has been busy over the past several months reviving\u00a0PechaKucha<\/a>\u00a0in Bangkok and was kind enough to invite me to speak at the first two events that he organized.<\/p>\n

PechaKucha presentations are in a format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and the speaker talks along with the images.\u00a0Below is the speech that I gave at the fifth Bangkok PechaKucha night about the Wheel2Wheel<\/a>\u00a0charity of another\u00a0good friend, Morgan Parker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The initial\u00a0Wheel2Wheel<\/em>\u00a0adventure set off from Hong Kong on\u00a01 March 2011 and saw Morgan Parker\u00a0ride\u00a025,000km<\/strong>\u00a0through\u00a010 countries<\/strong>\u00a0to Brisbane, Australia. \u00a0Travelling with a film crew, he\u00a0visited\u00a010 extensively researched and carefully selected\u00a0charitable organisations<\/strong>. \u00a0Each one\u00a0tackling one of the continents\u2019 most critical issues, doing it superbly but not receiving the systemic attention of the region\u2019s philanthropic community.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I wanted to introduce the Bangkok community to the Wheel2Wheel charity, but more importantly, I wanted to challenge people to think about how they could impact the community in a positive way by engaging their passions to help people who are less fortunate.<\/p>\n
