An ode to marshmallow chocolate

This hot chocolate, oh how sad,
A steaming cup, but oh so bad.
It’s missing something, that much is clear,
A fluffy treat, to bring cheer.

No marshmallows, what a shame,
This hot cocoa, it’s a poor name.
It’s lacking in the sweet,
A sin, a crime, a big defeat.

Where are the marshmallows, small and round,
To bring this drink, some joy abound?
Without them, it’s a hollow cup,
A hot chocolate, lacking the fluff.

So let’s add some marshmallows, with glee,
To this hot chocolate, and make it be,
A drink worth sipping, on a cold night,
Warmed by the fire, and everything right.
